The studio.
A team of six in Durban, building software for South African companies that has to be relied on, not demonstrated.

Shaun Madondo
Founder
Who builds the work
Konvrg was founded by Shaun Madondo after ten years of building software for other people’s businesses: first websites, then an HR and payroll platform used by real staff on real WhatsApp numbers, then the rest of what is on this site. The studio is six people. Engineering, product, delivery and the person who tests everything before a client sees it.
Every system on this site was designed and built here. The write-ups say what each one does, what it is built from and, where it matters, what it does not do yet. A client should always know what they have.
What we are good at
The rule that shapes a product, and getting it enforced in the data model rather than in the hope that nobody misuses the screen. Systems for people who will not install an app. Things that keep working when the signal drops. Writing it all down plainly.
What we are not
An agency with a template. A team that disappears after go-live. The right choice for a twenty-product shop that a hosted platform would serve better; we will say so on the first call.
How a project runs
- 01
Discovery call
30 minutes
You describe the problem in your own words. We ask what it costs you today and what the system has to do on day one. If we are not the right fit, we say so on the call.
- 02
Scope and proposal
Within 5 business days
A written scope: what gets built, what does not, what it costs, how long. The rules the product has to enforce are in it, because those are what take the time.
- 03
Build, in the open
Weeks, not quarters
A staging link from the first week. You use the real thing as it grows, and what you see on Friday is what shipped that week.
- 04
Go-live and the first month
Included
We stay on through the first month of real use. The limits of what you have are written down, plainly, so nobody discovers them later.
A scope document says what gets built, what does not, what it costs and how long it takes. It names the rules the product has to enforce, because those are what take the time. “In the open” means a staging URL from the first week that you use as the system grows. The first month after go-live is part of the engagement, not an add-on.
