Commerce and point of sale

Storefronts, tills and wallets that keep working when the network does not.

Selling online or across a counter is the same problem: the price has to be right, the stock has to be true, and the sale cannot fail because the LTE dropped. We build commerce that holds its own data on the device and settles when it can, and storefronts where the price list is the product.

The work that proves it

  1. The Mnquhe Card with its QR code.
    KwaMnquhe2026

The public site, the offline-first till and the Mnquhe Card prepaid wallet for a grocery shop that started in a shipping container.

  2. The Kept in Print home page, the books and the headline.
    Kept in Print2025–26

Turns a WhatsApp chat export into a printed keepsake book, with a studio, a print pipeline and checkout.

  3. The Famous Olwethu name set across the photograph.
    Famous Olwethu2026

The site for a Durban comedian, actor and creator: work, crew, press and booking, built around the photography.

You need this when

  • You sell the same things to the same people and want them to come back.
  • A till that stops during load-shedding costs you more than the software did.
  • You want to own the customer relationship rather than rent it from a marketplace.

You do not, when

  • Twenty products and no returning customers: a hosted shop does the job and you should use one.
  • If you cannot keep the price list current, no storefront will save it.

What it is built from

Next.js storefronts (static where possible), an offline-first POS as a PWA with IndexedDB and sync, Supabase, Paystack, printable price lists from one JSON source.
