Operational dashboards

The one screen a manager opens in the morning, built around the decisions they actually make.

A dashboard earns its place when it answers a question faster than a phone call. We start from the questions, not the data, and the screen shows the three things that need attention today before it shows anything else.

The work that proves it

  1. The 'today's priorities' card on the EazyHR dashboard: one thing needs attention, and the button to fix it.
    EazyHR2024–25

A multi-tenant HR and payroll platform where every employee runs on one WhatsApp contact and the employer runs on a web dashboard.

  2. The 'closings in the next five weeks' chart from the SmartQS email.
    SmartQS Tender Alerts2026

Public tenders matched to a contractor's CIDB grading and regions, emailed twice a week, with the compulsory briefings they can still attend at the top.

  3. The PayPulse ZA pricing card: R799 a month, unlimited invoices, the overdue follow-up log and the cashflow-at-risk dashboard.
    PayPulse ZA2026

One screen for an SME that answers 'who owes me, and when did I last ask them'.

You need this when

  • Your managers assemble the same spreadsheet every Monday from four sources.
  • Decisions wait on someone who is out of the office.
  • You already have the data and nobody can see it in one place.

You do not, when

  • The underlying process is still on paper. Fix the process first; a dashboard over a paper process reports on nothing.
  • One person needs one number once a month. A scheduled email does that for a fraction of the cost.

What it is built from

Next.js or React with a typed API, Postgres or Supabase, row-level permissions, exports to CSV and PDF. Mobile first when the manager is on site, not at a desk.
